about

Each piece reflects an uncompromising emotional commitment.
Whether written or more freely interpreted, the themes are but a pretext, a sort of preamble to the improvisation. The improvisation itself has no harmonic or rhythmic constraints, but is guided solely by our instinctive impulses leading us sometimes into atmospheres of confrontation (Mahannattanink, Slaves from Africa, Ice crime for kids), climates of inner struggle (Acte manqué, Jails of innocence), and even of psychosis (Desert in your mind, Au bord de l'eau), or into tracks prompting us to more sorrowful day-dreaming. (Solitude**, Nostalgie*, Gates of Visions).

Olivier, Jean-Paul and Dominique had a highly intuitive grasp
of the musical direction I wanted the album to take, and
Pierre's sound engineering was equal to the musical intensity.
Thank you to them for their respect.

And you my heart, why do you beat?
Like a melancholy look-out
I observe the night and the death
